Marvin and Marvin offers representation to clients in all aspects of Estate Planning and Administration. The trusts and estates team focuses on helping individual clients develop estate plans that will assure that the client’s assets benefit those who the client wants to benefit in the best possible way. This includes structuring the client’s financial affairs and preparation of all necessary documents (including wills and trusts). We also prepare prenuptial agreements, documents planning for disability (including powers of attorney and documents used to delegate health care decisions), as well as life insurance planning and business succession planning for business owners. When required, we also engage in charitable planning, including the use of trusts and other devices which carry out both charitable and family objectives. We work closely with the client in order to minimize or eliminate estate and gift taxes.
Marvin and Marvin is responsible for the administration of estates from the petition for probate through a final accounting and distribution of assets. The firm represents executors, administrators, trustees, and beneficiaries in all aspects of the administration of estates and trusts. We are also actively involved in estate and trust litigation on behalf of the executors, administrators, trustees, and beneficiaries.
